TWO newly-private healthcare centres, namely BeFit Wellness Hub and H Ambulatory Care Centre, are now open to the public.

Both of the facilities are located next to each other at the Setia SPICE Canopy in Bayan Lepas and managed by H Healthcare Berhad.

H Healthcare Berhad founder and managing director Md Bipul Nazir said H Ambulatory Care Centre provides curative care for the sick while BeFit Wellness Hub is created to continue non-medical and non-surgical works to enhance the clients’ health to prevent further onset or recurrence of diseases.

“In general, both facilities provide a range of comprehensive specialist and surgical services including wellness, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.

“They act as a bridge between full-fledged medical centres and general practice clinics,” he said in his speech before Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow officiated the opening ceremony at Setia SPICE Canopy in Bayan Lepas today.

Chow said the establishment of the two private healthcare centres would certainly set a new benchmark in the healthcare industry in Penang.

“As human beings, someday we will fall sick and grow old. While lying in the sickbed, what we want most is cosy care that gives us a ‘feel-good-experience’ to help us recover.

Chow said the establishment of the two private healthcare centres would certainly set a new benchmark in the healthcare industry in Penang.

“Upon recovery, it would be good if there is some form of a follow-up encouragement and facility to help us achieve optimal health and prevent diseases.

“And today, I am very glad to know that we have H Ambulatory Care Centre and BeFit Wellness Hub in Penang to provide both the curative healthcare and preventive healthcare modalities to the people of Penang,” he said.

Chow also expressed his confidence that the two private medical centres in Penang would further solidify the state’s position as the top destination of Malaysia Healthcare Travel Industry.

“And according to the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Industry Blueprint 2021-2025, Penang leads the way in healthcare travel revenue, earning RM750 million from 500,000 patients who flew to the state in 2019.

“Penang was also named as the ‘Most Established State in Healthcare Travel’,” he added.

Also present during the opening ceremony were H Healthcare Berhad chairman Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr Ismail Bakar and H Healthcare Berhad deputy chairman Dr Ti Lian Geh.
