AN urban hydroponic farming project aimed at promoting vegetable cultivation in Air Putih constituency is being developed in phases.
Air Putih assemblyman Lim Guan Eng said the first phase had been completed, while work on the second phase is ongoing.
He said the second phase would require funding, with an additional RM35,000 needed to purchase equipment for the project.
“The first phase has been completed, and you can see the vegetables we are growing. This is the second phase, while the third phase is still in the planning stage as we are continuing to look for funding,” he told reporters when visiting the site this morning.
He added that the project had made encouraging progress and would be further developed once sufficient funds were secured.
The initiative focuses on growing vegetables in an urban setting using a water-based cultivation system, demonstrating how farming can be carried out within the city.
